Nueve años después de que la final de la UEFA Champions League se disputara en el madrileño estadio Santiago Bernabéu, el partido más prestigioso del fútbol de clubes europeo regresa por quinta vez a Madrid.
Solo Londres ha albergado el encuentro decisivo de esta competición en más ocasiones que nuestra ciudad. Ahora, Madrid recibe a ambos finalistas en uno de los coliseos más modernos y seguros del mundo: el estadio Metropolitano. Por consiguiente, la capital de España se enorgullece de convertirse en la capital del fútbol de clubes europeo de 2019, un privilegio que trataremos de honrar, como siempre hemos hecho, con los más altos valores de deportividad y juego limpio, respeto, igualdad, solidaridad y paz.
Nine years after the UEFA Champions League final was last played in Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, the most prestigious game in European club football returns to our city for a fifth time.
Only London has hosted the climax to this competition more often than Madrid, which welcomes both teams to one of the most modern and safest arenas in the world: the Estadio Metropolitano. The capital of Spain is therefore proud to be the 2019 capital of European club football, a privilege we intend to honour – as we always have – with the highest values of fair play, respect, equality, solidarity and peace.
Of course, the UEFA Champions League final is more than just the match itself. From 30 May to 2 June, the historic centre of Madrid will hold the UEFA Champions Festival, a celebration open to fans, tourists, locals and the curious alike. The festival programme includes concerts, football matches involving legendary players and the chance to take a photo with the UEFA Champions League trophy itself at Puerta del Sol in the heart of Madrid – a city that welcomes and embraces all its visitors.
Ni que decir tiene, la final de la UEFA Champions League es mucho más que un partido. Del 30 de mayo al 2 junio, en el centro histórico de Madrid se celebrará el UEFA Champions Festival, una gran fiesta abierta por igual a aficionados, turistas, madrileños y curiosos. El programa del festival incluye conciertos, partidos de fútbol entre jugadores legendarios y la oportunidad de fotografiarse junto al trofeo de la UEFA Champions League en la Puerta del Sol, en el corazón de una ciudad que recibe y acoge con los brazos abiertos a todos sus visitantes.
